Revd & Dr Sir
My engagements are brief, & so are yours; allow me therefore to ask of you an immediate reply upon the following questions.
1. Whether the Hebrew is not allowed to Kill for a member of his Congren on Hebrew when called upon; after he hath prepared his Hebrew &c Hebrew on Hebrew?
2. Whether the Hebrew is bound to ask the party that desire his services, say, to kill an Hebrew, whether it is for a sick person? (consequently, if it is not for a sick person he must not kill it!)
3. rdly Whether the Hebrew has Upon which day of Hebrew the Hebrew has more permission, according
to Hebrew &c &c on the first or on the second? I shall esteem it a particular favor, if you have the goodness in answering me the above querries as soon as possible.
It's most astonishing how pious people (that violate the Sabbath &c & defile the Law of Hebrew &c. & never enter the gate of a Syn.) are, that when they see that the Hebrew hath Nulled a chicken on the first day Hebrew for
a member; they challeng & abuse the Hebrew for being very indifferent to his duty! And of cause, who shall decide upon such matters? if I offer them the Hebrew they can't read—nor have they faith in the translation of a person so wicked (according to their oppinion) as to kill an Hebrew when aft demanded of him! Yr kind answer I will show to justify my=self. Yrs faithfully
H Lowenthal

Shall the Hebrew be guided in his capacity by some of his con. (which seek their destruction & not their welfare) or by the Hebrew appertaining to Hebrew where shall he or they seek redress & upon whose judgment &c ought they to rely? A comment on the above theme in yr next valle. magazine will be gratefully admired. H. L. - Identifier
