My dear sir
I am sorry to be so troublesome to you but my wife has so little faith in our coreligionists in this country & thinks so much of yr. valued opinion that I am perforce compelled to be troublesome
I want to know if the Soap advertized as enclosed is truly Cosher as we want to use it for washing cooking utensils & dishes & would not buy any without it has your approval. Your reply will much oblige.
At last we are having some fine weather could this week it has been quite [?]
Religion is at a very low Ebb here. How is it with you
The 2nd day of Shebrath our Synagogue was literally empty
Do you intend to attend the Sabbath observance meeting [?] fr. The Cong in 39th fr [?] [?].
I presume yr. congregation was invited to send delegates!
If I can serve you in anything here please make me of use & let me reciprocate your kindness
