My dear Mr Morais
The last rites were given to our[^] departed friend Levison last evening by "Hebab"[?] in preparing his body rendering it in a casket to sent to St Louis for interment this pm. he died quietly at 1 oC yester-day morning—he had been unconscious for three or four days & was 12 days without nourishment of any kind except

the wetting of his lips with a few drops of water—poor fellow it was a sadending-- I am happy to say that my dear Mother is to day pronounced by the physician as better & please God in a few days hope will be able to say that all danger is past—With kind regards from Mrs Allen as well as myself & thanking you for your kind wishes for My Mother I am
