Dear Miss Cohen,
Coming home from Synagogue, I searched the passage in Josephus, about which I spoke to you this afternoon from memory.
You will find it in Antiquities, Book XVIII, Chap. VIII, $4. It reads as follows: "Now Archeleus paid him so much respect, as to continue his mourning till the seventh day; for so many days are appointed for it by the law of our fathers....and when he had left....his mourning, he went up into the temple."
