Dear Sir
Having a large collection of Hebrew Books belonging to my late Father in law, the Rev Emanuel Goldsmith, and also of my late husband, Henry Goldsmith, I have concluded jointly with his daughter Mrs M S Cohen to distribute them to different institutions and to the Theological Seminary, having frequently heard both my Father in law and husband speak of you as a great Talmadist, I therefore cannot offer a greater tribute of respect to their memories than by presenting these books to you. They have been selected by the Rev Huebsch I trust, that they will be acceptable as a gift from one of the oldest members of your congregation
