Rev Dr Mc Connell alluded to the fact of a meeting of several persons with you when the subject of the cruel treatment of the Jews in Russia was under discussion, after his remarks a motion was made before the Clerical Brotherhood, that the Secretary be requested to correspond with you and see if you and your friend could address the Brotherhood the third Monday in Jan, or
any Monday following.
Jan 19th is the first Monday we have vacant, or it would have been placed at your disposal, two weeks ago, a resolution had been passed adjoining the Brotherhood over. Dec 29. & Jan. 5 and the 12 of Jan was engaged, hence we have been compelled to delay hearing an account which I know would touch every heart with sympathy. I shall be glad to hear from you at your earliest convenience, and arrange for the meeting.
The Clerical Brotherhood of the Episcopal Church
meets at 15th & Chestnut, in the Guild room of the Church of the Epiphany-- Yours with true sympathy S. C. Hill. Secretary.
P. S. I would have come to your house and tried to arrange this if I were not pressed for time and living at Mt Airy near Chestnut Hill, and do not expect to be in the city before Monday. S. C. H. - Identifier
