Esteemed Sir,
I take the liberty of addressing you on behalf of the Hebrew Literary Society, to solicit your valuable ser-vices, by lecturing before the same. The Society was formed for the purpose of furthering a knowledge of Hebrew Literature and Judaism among the members, and for this purpose the Rabbis of various congregations have been so-licited to assist and encour-age us, in our endeavors.
Knowing your smypathy has never been witheld from such undertakings and trusting

you will find it con-venient to lecture for us at an early date, I am, with great respect
