Sir:
The following resolution was unanimously adopted at the meeting of the Board of the above Society & the undersigned committee authorized to carry it into effect. Resolved: That the several min-isters and congregtions be request-ed to celebrate in such manner as each congregation may deem proper the twenty fifth Anniversary of the founding of the Alliance Israel- ite Universelle on Purim next. All celebrations to be at the same hour if practicable. And that the congregations be likewise requested to add to the usual form of celebrating the day,
sermons or addresses by their ministers and others in order to lend interest and solemnity to the occasion.
You are therefore requested to attend a meeting of the Ministers & Presidents of the several congre-gations for the consideration of the furtherance of the foregoing resolution on Tuesday evening, Feb. 3, at 8 o'clock, at the Temple of the K.I. Congregation, 6th St., above Brown,
