Far be it, from me, to imagine that you personally object to there being 2 Portuguese Synagogues in your city. Nevertheless I see nothing at present to make me alter my resolve. I cannot see how I could conscientiously countenance that which hum is against the teachings of a lifetime. True they may be Conservative in their inclinations but their actions are diametrically opposite.
If I come to Philadelphia which in all probability I may we may talk the subject over and I shall gain the benefit of your vast experience of American Judaism. Strange that Judaism should in some country have to be locally designated.
