My dear sir!
Not able to find your honored father's address, I take the liberty of troubling you with a question for your father as to the meaning of [Hebrew] in the Treatise [Hebrew], Sect. IV, 4 or on page 74 col. 2 in the first volume of the Talmud. It evidently refers to Levit. XV, 4 but I cannot get the meaning of it. Perhaps the reading is not correct. I will be greatly obliged if your venerable father will be kind enough to give me the English of IV, 4 to see whether it corresponds with mine, or if possible of the entire section, which has been trying my patience the whole evening. It is not so difficult and yet it makes difficulties when you come to give it in an intelligible English.
