My dr. Sir,
You will oblige me very much by sending me a list of the compulsory holidays of the Jewish Church; by which I mean, days upon which secular labor is as strictly forbidden as upon Sabbath day. If not troubling

you too much, will you make me a list for the years 1867 and 1868.
The Jewish boys ask an exemption from the rules of the school, which, in fairness to the others, should not be granted, unless in case of an imperative necessity.
