Reverend Sir
I received your letter and was surprised that you forgot Mr. Sidney[']s name and remembered that Dr Adler had forgotten all about the case but Mr Sydney wrote to you stating that my husband was a bad man and I was a respectable woman[.] I think it very unkind of you to send me such a letter when you received the letter stating from the soliciter stating of my character[.] if you had wrote what Mr Sidney said I might have chosen the letter to the ladies and I might have got my
work back again[.]
I remain yours
Respectfully
Mrs Lydia Vallentine
