- Levesseur‘s visit to Charleston, S.C., is informative of the Jewish congregation and its membership, also the "society of Reformists" (vol. 2, p. 53). Also in vol. 2, pp. 104, 106, the French royal edict of 1724 expels the Jews from Louisiana. Shoemaker 39281.
