- Lesson 28, "History of Asia," reflects on the Jews and their wickedness: "So long as the Jews continued obedient to the divine law, God prospered them and protected them against their enemies; but, when they became disobedient and wicked, He abandoned them, and they have been subject to reproach and derision for nearly eighteen hundred years.
