In order of appearance: "Hymn of the Hebrew Maid," by Sir Walter Scott (pp. 21-23); "The Little Wandering Jew" (pp. 101-2); "Elijah’s Interview with God" (pp. 136-38; generally credited to Thomas Campbell and frequently published in contemporary school readers and collections of religious verse). Retains the unsigned "Preface," Dublin, 1831. The unsigned editor of the Dublin and London editions is J. M. Leckie, per British Library cataloging. Dating suggested by announcement in Boston Recorder, Oct. 19, 1843, p. 167, col. 1. A perfect copy has a frontispiece.
